Imust be the tortoise in the whole racing scenario. I've always started slow at everything, telling time, adding, tying my shoes...and now this.
My friend Maery, in photo, is SMOK'n me at this NaNoWriMo thing, and the only reason that my other friend Sue hasn't, is because she's been far too busy to start yet.
Apparently there has to be some putting the petal-to-the metal here and now.
It would have been helpful if I hadn't had a class at the Sewing Expo, that I had to take or lose the tickets. Last year at this time I had the flu and missed a class that I had signed up for, so they held the tickets for me for this year. Two things happened that I didn't anticipate, A) they stopped furnishing sewing machines so I to dig out my ancient, feeble, hardly sews a
straight line let alone a zigzag, massively heavy machine and get it in running order, quick, and B) Oh yeah, I'm writing a book.
It's true, Act One is in actual existence on my laptop...and safely backed-up onto several disk-like thingys. It's WAY too short, but it's here and tonight while I sit with Maery, and our Panera coffee and tea gets colder than any other coffee/tea on earth, I will attempt to pile on another 1000 words or so. I'm only a little over 2000...yep, I'm a slacker, it's that whole tortoise thing I'm sure.
